Utilising partial existing structures on site and adding a new build, for a large-scale bakery, Sonoma head offices and Flagship café. The new building is connected to an original bakery, which also required upgrading. Understanding the bakery’s large scale production process and branding was imperative.

Steel frame and pre-cast concrete construction accommodates large open-plan production and work areas. Large facade windows optimises natural light into the inner production space. The internal mezzanine windows provides a visual connection from above. All internal finishes have been selected to provide an efficient clean workspace with a neutral colour palette in line with the Sonoma brand. The exterior is clad with a mix of flat aluminium panels and corrugated sheets for a streamlined appearance. The central loading docks are protected by a large cantilevered awning. Exposed brick in the Sonoma café with banquette seating, provides a warm and textured aesthetic.

We achieved a sleek, monochromatic, industrial inspired building and interior architecture synonymous with the Sonoma brand.
